MLAG 2023 was a great success at the new venue at Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, PA. Lodging was in the dormitory with camping and RV options; all meals were in the spacious dining hall and all workshops and concerts were in the student union building. All three locations were within easy walking distance. I have been the registrar for MLAG since 2016 and this year I became a member of the Board of Directors. I taught 2 workshops on the topics of beginner technique and Gordan Lightfoot tunes and I performed in the Workshop Leaders concert. I was a judge in the autoharp competition and it was very enlightening experience that enjoy greatly.
I was a Featured Performer at MLAG 2024 and taught workshops in beginner technique, MLAG Jam Favorites, Songs of Iris DeMent, and Songs of Kate Wolf as well as fulfilling my daily duties as registrar. I performed my concerts on Saturday night and Sunday morning and also performed in the Board Member concert on Wednesday night…a very busy week, but a wonderful experience.
